Gerber jumps back into the multi-bladed knife category with the Gerber Urban Companion. This exciting new pocketknife combines traditional components with modern styling, engineering, and materials. The Gerber Urban Companion has a one-handed opening knife blade, Fiskars scissors, an aluminum handle, and soft rubber inserts.

The Gerber Urban Companion's blade has a thumbstud for one-handed opening. Made of high carbon stainless steel, the blade is partially serrated for maximum utility. Fiskars scissors are neatly tucked into the handle. These scissors are the best found on any knife or multi-tool, able to cut hemmed denim, ballistic nylon, and all braided and fused fishing lines.

Both the knife blade and the scissors solidly lock into place with Gerber's patented SAF.T.PLUS locking system. To unlock, simply slide the release button back, and close.

Urban Companion™ is the most comfortable multi-function knife to use. The unique handle design has broad, smooth surfaces for the hand to grip during use. The Urban Companion™ also has a 3M Gator TEX rubber insert on each side. These provide a cushioned, more secure grip on the knife. The handles are cast aluminum, finished with Gerber's E-coat, an attractive, durable surface finish that has both aesthetic and ergonomic appeal.
